Plan Lisbon by area: Praça do Comércio, Rossio and Cais do Sodré sit in the riverside centre; Alfama’s lanes and viewpoints climb the hill; Belém is a separate trip to the west. Tram 15E links Praça da Figueira with the Belém monuments, but can be crowded. Expect cobbles, steep slopes and separate fares for transport and paid interiors.
