Walk from Filomousson Square toward Monastiraki along the lanes at the foot of the Acropolis.
What to expect
Plaka stretches beneath the Acropolis between Filomousson Square and Monastiraki. Wander its lanes for neoclassical houses, Byzantine churches and small squares, then continue uphill into Anafiotika or follow the stone-paved Pikionis paths around the Acropolis toward Philopappos Hill.
