Harbourfront Centre waterfront walk

A lakefront walk beside the marina, with a posted detour near the Lower Simcoe Street construction site.

What to expect

Harbourfront Centre occupies a 10-acre campus at 235 Queens Quay West. Its waterfront paths and outdoor public spaces make a short walk beside the marina and Lake Ontario; on a clear day, the Toronto Islands are visible across the inner harbour. Galleries, performances, food, boat trips and individual events inside the campus are separate visits with their own schedules and prices.

Walking the outdoor waterfront is free. Indoor exhibitions, performances, food, boat trips and ticketed events are separate; check each operator before you go.

Visitor notes

The City Council record for the 200 Queens Quay West construction plan calls for a multi-use trail closure on the south side of Harbour Street, between Lower Simcoe Street and a point 140 metres east, through 31 December 2028. Pedestrians are directed to the north sidewalk and cyclists to the existing cycle tracks/bike lanes. Follow current work-zone signs and Harbourfront Centre event notices.
