What to expect

Ximending is a pedestrian shopping district whose street scene mixes fashion, cosplay, dance and promotions. The city visitor guide lists the district around the clock, but that does not mean its individual shops or performances run all night.

Entry and costs

Walking the district is free. Shopping, meals, indoor attractions and ticketed events cost extra; street performances are not guaranteed on every visit.

Visitor notes

Ximen MRT serves the district. Taipei Travel lists wheelchair access, elevators and accessible toilets, though busy crowds can make the narrowest streets harder to navigate. Check each venue separately for its own hours.
