Winter Park Park Avenue

A walkable downtown street and public park, with an active streetscape project to check before visiting.

What to expect

Park Avenue is Winter Park's working main street, with shops, restaurants and Central Park strung along the same downtown corridor. Central Park itself covers 11 acres and includes fountains, gardens and shaded lawns. Phase 1 of the city's Park Avenue Refresh was celebrated as complete on 12 October 2026, but later phases and project updates remain relevant; check the city's current notices for work, parking or pedestrian changes. The Saturday farmers market is held at West Meadow, not along the whole avenue.

Walking the public street and Central Park is free. Purchases, meals, market goods, transport and some event activities cost extra.

Visitor notes

The avenue and Central Park are public places, but each shop and restaurant sets its own hours. Crossings and parking can be busy. If visiting Saturday morning, confirm the Winter Park Farmers' Market schedule and its West Meadow location; check SunRail service separately if arriving by train.
