What to expect

Wawel Hill brings the Royal Castle and Cathedral together above the Vistula, but the outdoor approach is a visit in its own right. Follow the hill paths and lookouts around the fortress walls and Renaissance façades; the castle manager opens the hill daily from 06:00 until dusk, with closing time changing by season. Entry to exhibitions, castle rooms, the Cathedral interior and other managed attractions is separate.
