What to expect

At downtown's edge, Stanley Park pairs coastal rainforest with beaches, garden paths and well-known landmarks such as Lost Lagoon, Siwash Rock and Prospect Point. Choose one area rather than trying to cover the full park: the seawall circles the shoreline while more than 27 kilometres of forest trails branch inland.

The park's public trails, beaches and viewpoints are free. The aquarium, train, pitch-and-putt, food, parking and other ticketed attractions cost extra.

Visitor notes

The City lists park hours as 06:00–22:00 unless posted otherwise. As checked 1 November 2026, a seawall stretch between Lumberman's Arch and Third Beach is closed until 14 November, with intermittent closures possible through 20 November; signed trail detours include rough ground and steep grades. Use the City's digital accessibility map to check the specific route and amenities you need.
