Reichstag Building exterior and Spreebogen

Pair a free riverside park walk with a view of the Reichstag's glass dome and government buildings.

What to expect

From Platz der Republik, follow the Spreebogenpark panorama path beside the river and look back toward the Reichstag's glass dome, the Paul-Löbe-Haus and the Chancellery. The park path is an outdoor route; entering the Bundestag and its roof terrace is a separate registered visit.

Spreebogenpark and the exterior route cost nothing. Dome or roof-terrace access is free with advance registration and availability; guided tours follow separate rules.

Visitor notes

The outdoor walk is free. Bundestag dome and roof-terrace visits are also free, but require advance registration, identity checks and security screening; parliamentary business can affect access. The dome is scheduled to close 29 March–2 April, 19–23 April, 19–23 July and 23 August–19 November 2027; the Bundestag says the roof terrace may remain open during dome closures. Recheck the live notice before booking.
