Plaza de España
Follow the curved arcade past ceramic province alcoves and across four small bridges over the canal.
What to expect
Designed by Aníbal González for the 1929 Ibero-American Exposition, Plaza de España curves around a central canal. Its brick arcades, ceramic balustrades and tiled benches representing Spain's provinces reward a slow circuit; four bridges cross the water. The plaza sits inside María Luisa Park, so the two make a natural pair on foot. Boat trips on the canal are an optional paid activity.
