Perdana Botanical Garden

A large free city garden; DBKL lists a 05:30 opening and later closing on Fridays and Saturdays.

What to expect

Perdana Botanical Garden began as a public recreation garden in the late nineteenth century and now combines lawns, lakes, themed plant collections and paths west of the city centre. Choose one section rather than trying to cover the full grounds in the tropical heat. Nearby attractions such as the Bird Park and Butterfly Park are separate venues with their own admission and hours.

The garden grounds are free to enter. The Bird Park, Butterfly Park, National Planetarium and other nearby attractions charge separately; food, parking and guided activities are not included.

Visitor notes

DBKL’s current park notice lists daily opening from 05:30, closing at 22:00 Sunday–Thursday and midnight Friday–Saturday. Weather, maintenance and events can affect paths or facilities. Bring water and check the city notice before travelling.
