Parc de la Ciutadella
A leafy public park with a monumental waterfall, old trees and a lake near the Born district.
What to expect
Opened for the 1888 Universal Exposition, the Ciutadella was Barcelona's first park designed specifically for public use. Walk the broad paths past century-old trees, the monumental cascade, sculptures and the lake; the gardens also make a useful stop between the Born and the waterfront.
