What to expect

The waterfront square gives a close view of Büyük Mecidiye Mosque, the 19th-century landmark at Ortaköy, with the Bosphorus Bridge beyond it. The open-air stop is brief and easy to combine with a shoreline walk; the surrounding cafés and stalls turn it into a longer, paid visit if you choose to stop.
