What to expect

Nairobi City Park is a large green space in Parklands, north of the CBD. A JICA transport and public-space inventory describes its 60-acre grounds, picnic areas, Pio Gama Pinto memorial and Joseph and Sheila Murumbi memorial and sculpture garden. Nairobi County has also documented its tree nursery and public environmental events here. The photo on this page shows the Nyayo Memorial within the park; it is a landmark stop, not a substitute for checking present-day park conditions.
