A public green space on a former section of the Berlin Wall, with a lively weekend atmosphere.

What to expect

Follow the former border strip between Prenzlauer Berg and Wedding, where a remnant of the Wall meets lawns, a hillside and an amphitheatre. The Sunday flea market fills part of the park with stalls; browsing the park itself costs nothing, while purchases and organized tours are separate.

The park is free to enter. Flea-market goods, food, drinks and bookable tours cost extra.

Visitor notes

Berlin lists the park as open to visitors, but renewal work is under way through 2027. In October 2026, another phase began between the amphitheatre and Max-Schmeling-Halle; smaller areas are fenced, and work around the Sonnenhügel and amphitheatre is expected through spring 2027. Check barriers and follow detours. The Sunday flea market is listed 10:00–18:00; karaoke is seasonal and can be affected by works or weather.
