What to expect

The Lotus Temple is the Bahá’í House of Worship in Bahapur, South Delhi. A landscaped approach leads to the white marble building and its central prayer hall, which welcomes visitors of any faith. The temple operator asks visitors to keep silence inside; photography is allowed in the grounds but not in the prayer hall or Information Centre.

Delhi Tourism lists free entry to the Lotus Temple. Food and drinks are not allowed on the premises; transport and nearby purchases are separate.

Visitor notes

The temple operator currently lists Tuesday–Sunday, 08:30–17:00, with Monday closure. Delhi Tourism still publishes 09:00–17:30, so check the operator’s visit page before setting out. The prayer hall may close temporarily when overcrowded or during heavy rain; remove shoes before entering it. The operator names Kalkaji Mandir and Okhla NSIC Metro stations, each about a five-minute walk away.
