Lincoln Park Conservatory
A free Victorian glasshouse with timed entry, open Wednesday through Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm.
What to expect
Built between 1890 and 1895, Lincoln Park Conservatory groups its plants into four display houses: Palm, Fern, Orchid and Show. The Show House changes with seasonal flower displays, while the other rooms offer a more dependable indoor garden visit through Chicago’s colder months. The conservatory is within Lincoln Park, so pair it with one nearby garden or trail segment rather than treating the whole park as a short walk.
