Lake Baldwin Park

A 2.5-mile shared-use loop northeast of downtown; watch for cyclists and follow posted dog-area rules.

What to expect

The City of Orlando describes a 12-foot-wide, shared-use Cady Way Trail with a 2.5-mile loop around Lake Baldwin. It is a useful longer walk or ride, but the route is also used by cyclists and runners, especially at weekends and early evening. The lakefront park has lawns and water views; it is a separate northeast-side outing rather than a stop to add to downtown on foot.

The public trail and park grounds are free to use. Nearby rentals, food and transport are separate; no admission is charged for the loop.

Use the marked trail and share it with care. Winter Park identifies Lake Baldwin Park as its dog-friendly park and publishes rules for the dog area; follow the current signs and posted off-leash times. The sources reviewed do not establish a swimming area, so treat this as a trail and shoreline walk, not a swim stop.
