Kwai Chai Hong heritage lane
A free small-lane visit from 09:00 to midnight daily, with food and shops separate.
What to expect
Kwai Chai Hong is a restored lane off Jalan Panggung in Kuala Lumpur’s Chinatown. Its shophouse fronts, painted characters and interactive murals interpret neighbourhood stories from the 1960s. It is compact, so a short stop works best alongside Petaling Street or Central Market; restaurants and bars around the lane are independent businesses, not part of the free visit.
