King's Garden — Rosenborg Garden
Relax in Denmark's oldest royal garden, with broad lawns, rose borders and the Hercules Pavilion beside Rosenborg Castle.
What to expect
Kongens Have began in 1606 as Christian IV's garden beside Rosenborg. Today its square path layout, old linden avenues, lawns, rose garden and sculptures make it a calm break in the centre; spring and summer bring fuller flower beds and more picnickers. The castle museum stands inside the garden but is a separate, timed-ticket visit.
