Kazimierz historic district walk
Walk from Szeroka Street to Plac Nowy through Kazimierz's layered Jewish and Christian heritage.
What to expect
Kazimierz began as a separate town in the 14th century; a Jewish quarter developed there in the late 15th century. A neighbourhood walk can take in Szeroka Street, the surviving synagogues, Plac Nowy and the former town centre at Plac Wolnica, where the old town hall now houses the Ethnographic Museum. This is a living district as well as a heritage site, with homes, cafés, galleries and active religious places along the same streets.
