What to expect

The Isar runs for about 14 kilometres through Munich and its restored banks provide public space for walking, cycling and resting. Near Reichenbachbrücke, the route looks across the river and smaller channels to gravel banks that change with water levels. Use this as a riverside walk; bathing is allowed only in designated stretches of the river.
