Bangla Sahib is a working Sikh gurdwara near Connaught Place, associated with Guru Har Krishan’s stay in Delhi in 1664. The white-marble complex centres on a prayer hall and sarovar; the community kitchen, or langar, serves free meals to visitors. It is a place of worship first, so keep the visit quiet and follow the volunteers’ directions.

Entry and costs

There is no admission fee for the public gurdwara visit. The langar meal is also free; donations are voluntary, while transport and purchases outside the complex cost extra.

Visitor notes

The Government of India’s visitor guide lists the gurdwara as open 24 hours and advises modest dress and a covered head. Remove shoes before entering the prayer areas, follow volunteers’ instructions and check on-site guidance about photography.
