Fisherman's Bastion lower terraces
A 19th-century lookout on Castle Hill, with free lower balconies facing the Danube and Parliament.
What to expect
Fisherman’s Bastion was built in the late 19th century as a lookout, not as a working medieval fort. Its seven towers and arcaded balconies frame a view across the Danube to the Parliament and Pest. The lower balconies are free; the operator charges only for the upper turrets during its published spring-to-autumn ticket season.
