Daan Forest Park

Take a shaded loop through ponds, lawns and wooded paths in a large central city park.

What to expect

Taipei Travel describes a tree-lined ecological park, with camphor, cajuput, ficus and maple among the planting. Ponds, lawns and broad paths make it an easy place to slow down between the busier central districts.

Entry and costs

The park is free to enter and is listed as open around the clock. Food, transport, organised activities and any separately ticketed event are extra.

Visitor notes

Daan Park MRT station is at the park edge; the city guide also lists wheelchair access, lifts and accessible toilets. Shade is useful in Taipei's humid weather, but paths and lawns are exposed to heavy rain.
