What to expect

Crescent Park follows the river in the Marigny and Bywater, from the French Market and Elysian Fields Avenue toward Bartholomew Street. New Orleans & Company describes a 1.4-mile route with smooth walking, running and cycling paths, two metal bridges across the railroad tracks, and an elevator beside the Elysian Fields bridge. It is a linear park, so choose an access point and turn back or continue into the connected downtown riverfront route; the official visitor page lists the grounds as free.
