What to expect

On Sundays, flower and plant traders set up along Columbia Road in Bethnal Green. The street market is the main draw, but the route also passes independent shops, galleries and cafés that keep their own hours. Walking the street is free; plants, flowers and food are optional purchases. Tower Hamlets lists the market as running 08:00–14:00.

Arrive early for the widest choice, since later traders may sell out. The street gets crowded and step-free access varies between shops; public toilets are on Ezra Street, about two minutes away. Hoxton Overground is around a 7–10 minute walk.
