What to expect

Cheonggyecheon runs about 11 kilometres through central Seoul, passing under 22 bridges from Cheonggye Plaza toward the Hangang. Choose a short stretch around Jongno or keep walking toward Dongdaemun; the paths connect easily with nearby city streets and subway stations.

Entry and costs

The public stream promenade is free to walk. The Cheonggyecheon Museum and purchases at nearby markets are separate visits.

Visitor notes

The promenade is listed as open 24 hours, but heavy rain can raise the water quickly and close the lower paths. Follow staff and broadcast warnings, leave by the nearest stairs, and never shelter under a bridge during a flood alert.
