Castle Hill Park
Follow shaded paths to a waterfall and lookouts above Old Nice, the harbour and the bay.
What to expect
Castle Hill is the green rise between Old Nice and Port Lympia. The hill sheltered the Greek settlement that grew into Nikaia; its fortress was later dismantled on Louis XIV's orders. Since 1882 the site has been laid out as a public park, with shaded paths, a waterfall and open views across the bay, old town and harbour. The tourist office also lists play areas, toilets and two snack bars.
