Campo Santa Margherita
A good Dorsoduro breather between the university quarter, the Zattere and the historic centre’s southern lanes.
What to expect
Campo Santa Margherita is a working neighbourhood square rather than a gated attraction. Its open paving, benches, market activity, shops and café terraces make it a natural pause on a Dorsoduro walk. The official city itinerary links the square with the Carmini and other nearby stops, then continues toward the Zattere and Punta della Dogana. Visit respectfully: homes and university buildings open directly onto the campo, and late-day gatherings can make the square lively.
