Calton Hill

What to expect

Calton Hill is a public hilltop park east of Princes Street, with a compact group of monuments and views across the city toward the Firth of Forth. The National Monument, Nelson Monument and Dugald Stewart Monument each have a different setting along the crest. The park is free to explore; entering the Nelson Monument tower is a separate paid visit with its own timetable.
