Brussels Park
The former Royal Park is a neoclassical green space with statues, long avenues and a pond near the city centre.
What to expect
Once known as the Royal Park, this is described by Visit Brussels as the region's oldest park to become public. Designed in a neoclassical style, it sits between the Royal Palace and Federal Parliament and recalls the fighting in Brussels during the 1830 revolution. Look for its pond, symmetrical avenues, mythological statues, bandstand and Vauxhall pavilion; cafés and cultural venues operate separately within the park.
