Bopiliao Historic Block

Explore Wanhua's red-brick lanes and courtyards in a restored historic block near Longshan Temple.

What to expect

Bopiliao preserves a stretch of Wanhua's historic streets, with red-brick shopfronts, covered arcades and courtyards that show layers of Taipei's older commercial district. The free outdoor lanes are a short walk from Longshan Temple. Indoor exhibition rooms have a shorter day and may host separately organised events, so don't assume the indoor displays share the outdoor schedule.

The outdoor historic block is free. Indoor exhibitions and events may charge, depending on the organiser.

Visitor notes

The outdoor block is open Tuesday–Sunday, 09:00–21:00; indoor rooms close at 18:00 and the site closes Mondays. The operator warns that inclement weather or government disaster announcements can change access. Bicycles, motorcycles, skateboards and smoking are prohibited; guide dogs are allowed.
