What to expect

Bloemenmarkt occupies a stretch of the Singel and is made up of flower stalls on barges, a reminder of the historic trade that arrived by water. The current city visitor guide lists the market as open daily and describes it as the only floating flower market in the world. It is a narrow trading street, so plan for a short walk through the stalls rather than a large public garden or indoor market hall.
