What to expect

Banje is the closest well-known swimming shore to the Old Town, just beyond Ploče Gate. Dubrovnik’s coastal-use plan marks a public portion of the beach outside the concession area, while the nearby operator sells optional loungers, umbrellas, food, drinks and water activities. At the time of this check, the operator’s published list showed sunbeds at €30 and umbrellas at €10; prices and seasonal services can change. The County Public Health Institute lists Banje among its monitored bathing sites. Croatia’s monitoring season normally runs from mid-May to early October, so the 2026 season has ended and no current winter sample should be inferred from summer results.
