A lakeside garden walk between the Chopin Monument and Palace on the Isle; the historic interiors are separate visits.

What to expect

Royal Łazienki is a historic garden complex built around the Palace on the Isle, with a lake, bridges, sculptures and a route past the Chopin Monument. It works well as a slow walk through the southern part of central Warsaw, rather than an add-on to the Old Town loop. The gardens are free; the palace and other museum buildings contain separate exhibitions and collections.

Entry and costs

The museum lists free daily admission to the gardens. Palace interiors, exhibitions and other historic buildings have separate admission; parking is also paid. The museum currently lists individual free entry to historic buildings on Fridays, subject to its rules and operating calendar.

Visitor notes

The museum's English ticket page says the gardens open daily 06:00–22:00, while its Polish opening-hours page currently says 06:00–21:00. Because the official pages disagree, check the live opening-hours page close to your visit. Historic buildings have different hours, last entry is 30 minutes before closing, and holiday or event closures can apply. The museum asks visitors with mobility or sensory needs to contact staff ahead of visits to buildings and grounds; access varies by site.
